My name is Sharif Hozoori and I’m excited to share my academic background and research interests with you. I hold a PhD in International Relations from the Centre of International Politics, Organization, and Disarmament (CIPOD) at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. My research is focused on Afghanistan politics and foreign policy, cultural studies, identity politics. I am interested in South Asia and Middle East politics. Currently, I am a visiting scholar at Cornell University’s Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, where I am also an Institute of International Education-Scholar Rescue Fund fellow. Before coming to Cornell, I had the opportunity to work as an administrator in higher education and to teach undergraduate and graduate students in Afghanistan. I have a proven track record of designing, creating, implementing, and evaluating programs that comprehensively support students’ academic and professional success.
